Your initial appointment at clocktower dental associates will consist of a very thorough examination and consultation explaining your dental condition(diagnosis) and treatment options. To determine your diagnosis and treatment options, we will need certain diagnostic information. This information is ascertained from a very thorough examination which includes: medical history review, oral cancer screen, dental x-rays, intra- oral camera photographs, complete periodontal exam and use of the diagonodent(laser) to determine the existence of tooth decay.
After the diagnostic information is reviewed with the patient, there is sufficient time dedicated to answering all questions regarding the patients dental condition and treatment recommended. After diagnostic and recommended treatment is reviewed with the patient, a treatment plan will be written and the financial coordinator will discuss treatment costs, expected insurance benefits and patient responsibilities.
Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your first visit:
Please alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to your first dental visit(i.e. high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.) or if you are on any medication (i.e. heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.) or require medication prior to dental treatment (i.e. antibiotics, for pre-med.) Please contact your primary care physician if there is any questions in regard to your current medical condition and receiving dental treatment.
If you have had dental x-rays taken recently (within 6-months), you may request that they forward them to our office. If additional x-rays are necessary to complete our diagnosis and formulate a treatment plan, they can be taken at our office
The primary goal of the clocktower dental staff at the first dental visit is to establish a vital foundation for our relationship, earn the trust and respect of every patient and to exceed all patient expectations.
