A Reminder – Use Your Dental Benefits Before the End of the Year
- Posted on: Dec 6 2022
One of the last things on your mind, with the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, is using up your dental benefits for the year. Check your dental benefits to see when they run out because you could be saving hundreds of dollars just by using them.
What are some of the reasons you should schedule your dental appointment before the end of the year? Have you heard the phrase, “use them or lose them”? That also applies to your dental deductible. You can either use your dental benefits now, before the end of the year or lose them when the year ends.
Here are some other reasons you should make an appointment with the dentists at Clock Tower Dental in Franklin Square before the end of the year:
- You avoid starting over with a new deductible in the new year. Most plans pay for the cost of diagnostic and preventative care which includes your dental checkups, dental cleanings, and in most cases X-rays.
- If you need a procedure that isn’t fully covered, by scheduling the procedure now you won’t have to start all over again with satisfying your deductible in the new year. This way you can avoid the higher out-of-pocket expenses.
- Do you know that expensive restoration that you have been putting off? If you have met your deductible for this year it makes sense to have part of your procedure done this year, while you have coverage, and the rest of the procedure in the new year when your dental benefits are renewed. By having one crown done this year and the second crown next year, you won’t go over your plan’s annual maximum.
- You will ultimately save money by keeping your teeth and gums healthy and reducing your risk of developing a serious and more costly issue over time. By postponing your oral health checkups and dental procedures you could be worsening your dental health.
